1863 Skirt Supporting Corset

PP703PP703

Excellent period pattern to construct an 1863 skirt supporting corset.

The support is in the form of of a length of reed inserted around the bottom edge of the corset which can be omitted if a smoother profile corset is preferred.

This design can be constructed with or without shoulder straps.

Great pattern with clear instructions and historical notes.

Front busk fastening with back lacing.

As with all of our corset patterns this one is supplied with a discount voucher. We strongly feel that to achieve a good fit you should work from a mock up when deciding boning lengths etc.

Specification:

Multisized (sizes 8-26)

Voucher included giving discount against the notions.

We don't offer kits for this or any other corset pattern (apart from the Simplicity 9769) because it is vital that you make a mock up first. The corset is uniquely fitting garment and the only way to correctly establish the busk and bones needed is make a test garment and fit it first. We have many many corsets over many years and not used the same combination of busk and bones twice!
