This pattern was published by The Demorest Magazine Pattern Company. Originally the pattern was described as "Roosevelt Lounging or Smoking Jacket. The prettiest sort of lounging or smoking jackets admit of perfect ease and comfort. They are easy to cut and make and no one need hesitate to make one." Written directions. Pattern dates circa 1901-1909.
The Vintage Revivals patterns are only one size; the original size. The pattern envelope, instructions and pattern pieces are unedited. The older the pattern the more likely it is to have limited instructions. The patterns are printed on blue line paper and packaged in plastic.
Specification:
Suggested fabrics: Cloth and silk, with quilted satin for the lining. The colours were brown, Oxford, and navy blue.
