This fantastic Book is one that we have used over and over again as it contains such wonderful detail of both men’s and women’s historical costume.
Each outfit is complete inlcuding corsets and other foundationgarments.
Details 56 different pairs of costume in the following format:-
First Page gives full detail of period fabrics, decoration, padding, movement, restriction, accessories, undergarments etc
The Facing page gives a clear black and white illustration of the costume.
The Following pages give very simple pattern shapes for the full costume for both man and woman. The introduction gives instructions for scaling the patterns and some pevious experience here would be helpful.
This really is a terrific book and great for anyone costuming plays or film or researching. Our own copy is disintegrating through overuse.
