Vena Cava Design

31/3/20 Special Delivery to UK customers are no longer being guaranteed by 1pm or taking signatures, they will still be treated as priority  items.
Royal Mail increased their delivery charges on 23/3, we will not be increasing our charge to you. We hope this small gesture will help at such a difficult time.

8/3/20 International customers, 31 countries are 'on suspension'  and there are delays to other destinations. You can still place orders and we will send but you may need to be patient.
We can access Vena Cava Design without travelling so should be able to operate near normally. We have a daily collection from Royal Mail and as long as this continues we will endeavour to keep dispatching your orders.
Please bear in mind that some  supplies may run low eventually as factories close or the supply chain is broken. Postal deliveries are inevitably slower than usual under the circumstances.

Wishing you good health and fortitude.

1872 Senora Bodice

1872 Senora Bodice
1872 Senora Bodice 1872 Senora Bodice

The Senora Bodice is a great example of the transitional style from hoop to bustle 1869-1872. The main highlight is the layered front; with a vest and outer Jacket layer. Both versions have a shallow point at the waist, and the closure in the center front. The "jacket” is in Bolero style, and curves down into the tails.

The vest is sewn to the bodice proper at the side and shoulder seams, and at the armhole. The fitted sleeve is in 2 pieces, and can be long, or elbow length with fabric ruffle and optional inner ruffle. The basque is pulled up into pleats at the center back, falling in cascades down each side.

View A has a vest with high neckline and long sleeves.
View B has a square neck and elbow sleeves with layered ruffle.
