The DVD is produced by Laughing Moon mercantile in the USA, it is presented by JoAnn Peterson in a straight to camera "lecture style" and offers a great deal of experienced information about corset making.
We think that this is a great accompaniment to the Laughing Moon Victorian Corset Pattern and would certainly help both novice and experienced sewers create a well fitting corset.
We disagree with a few points in the video, like the rapid dismissal of hand pliers to fix two part eyelets and punches to create eyelet holes, JoAnn favours hammer tools and awls but hey, "vive le difference!"
There is a rigorous section on fitting the test muslin, shown on live models which really would help anyone trying to fit a variety of body shapes and sizes.
Packed with hints and tips from someone who has made a LOT of corsets.
Running time, a generous 2 hours.
Available as Region 1 DVD.
