^{This boning cannot be cut using aviation cutters or bolt cutters. The easiest method is to trap the steel it in a vice and cut using a hacksaw with a metal cutting blade. You could probably use a metal cutting guillotine too. Always wear eye protection and round off the sharp corners on a grindstone.}

^{It is also commonly used for crinolines, bustles, panniers etc

Metal hoop joints are available too.

OR...Why not try our wide transparent heat shrink Pop a length of heat shrink over your hoop, overlap the ends and hold in place with masking tape. Bring heat shrink over join and heat gently until it encloses the steel.}
