Similar to the rigid steels but with dipped ends rather than full plastic coating.
They can be used to create straight fronted corsets by stitching the steel behind a flexible steel busk(this is an economical way to achieve this traditional design). Useful anywhere in a corset where some very strong stiffening is required.
